VIDEO | Better than the standard version? We took the new Africa Twin out for a ride to find out
Honda’s new Africa Twin Adventure Sports is made to impress. HRC color theme, retro white frame, high-riding position. It’s a head-turner. But you all know that. So we took it out for a ride to find out more.
This comes out right after we did the unboxing. We had a ride in the city, then took the highway up to the mountains, where we met some narrow and curvy roads and some gravel.
It was the DCT version, powered by the same parallel twin engine we already know, offering the same power output – 95 hp. But Honda changed the air-box and retuned the exhaust, and the engine feels more lively now and offers a more exciting sound.
More than that, the new Africa Twin (both versions) features ride by wire throttle and different riding modes. On the Adventure Sports model, the engine protections and heated grips are offered as standard.

And also an opinion about Africa Twin – why is it so successful?
