2019 BMW R1250RS First Ride in the Alps

Film | We took the revamped sport-tourer to a twisty-roads day in the mountains. Here’s our first impression

The R1250RS is part of a rare breed - an old-school sport-tourer, with sporty but comfortable riding position, with clip on handlebars, and fairings, in a world where crossovers and adventure-sports bikes with high riding position took the place of classic bikes such as the Yamaha Fazer or Honda’s VFR.

The BMW R1250RS features and updated fairing, with symmetrical headlights, the new TFT dash and, of course, the updated boxer engine which received more grunt due to the ShiftCam Technology. We wanted to see how these elements come together so we took it for a sporty ride. Here’s the result.
