BMW R1250R – Review | Best All-Rounder Naked Bike?

BMW R1250R - Review | Best All-Rounder Naked Bike? 1

From 2019 on, the boxer-powered BMW motorcycles come fitted with a new engine – slightly larger and featuring the variable-valve ShiftCam technology. It’s called the R1250, so now we have an R1250, the R1250RT – touring, the R1250RS – sport touring and the R1250R roadster. The latter one is the star of our test.

It’s the boxer engine in the purest motorcycle body – a roadster. No fairings, no telelever suspension, no large windscreen – it’s just a classic bike, but it features a relaxed, but still exciting riding position, and it feels incredibly nimble for a bike of this size and weight. More than that, it’s very comfortable excepting, of course, the weather protection.

The price is starting from 14,000 euro, and it can go up to 18,000 euro with all the extras, including the Akrapovic slip-on exhaust.
