2017 BMW S1000RR Long-Term Test: Fairings Install + Frame Protections & Dash Frame

2017 BMW S1000RR Long-Term Test: Fairings Install + Frame Protections & Dash Frame 1

Our long term S1000RR test bike is one step closer to the track

Since the new S1000RR bike joined the family, we’ve modified it a lot to transform it into a genuine track machine. Therefore, it has to comply with all the regulations. In this episode we’ll add the glass fibre fairings – compulsory when it comes to racing. Besides them, we added carbon fibre frame protections and a lighter dash frame that includes the air intake. Check the video above and stay tuned for the up-coming updates. You can also watch it

These modifications will make the S1000RR easier to repair and will help it lose some weight. The original parts are very expensive, and our objective is to get rid of everything that might be exposed. The stock parts are carefully stored until the bike will be turned to its original purpose. Hopefully, it will be a track winner.
