The V-Strom gets a few updates for 2017
The V-Strom 1000 gets a bit revised for the next season. The more adventurous version, the XT gets the same treatment. The new models are not just adapted to Euro 4 regulations they also get some comfort and safety features.
Both bikes got more exhaust filters to comply with emissions regulation. Suzuki claims the changes are made without affecting the engine performance. The seat unit is new and the windscreen design for more wind protection and comfort. The new XT will be available with gold rims also.
The ABS system uses five-axis IMU provided by Bosch named Motion Track Brake System. It also features Combination Brake System for higher stopping performance. Traction control is available in three modes, two intervention mode and completely off.
The new V-Strom 1000 got a new dashboard that combines an analog tachometer and LCD display with all the information needed for long trips. The coolest feature is by far the Low Rpm Assist that comes in handy in traffic and acts like the stop-and-go car system.
