The 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP reaches new heights. Price-wise we mean
Honda has officially announced the price for the 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP superbike for the European markets. And we can say it’s not cheap.
The new superbikes are getting more inspired by the race machines. More likely they bring MotoGP technology to the street. Now, we have the chance to see a part of it in the new 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. The European market price tag is €26.990 and for the base model 2020 CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade you will have to pay €22.990.
What do you get for that amount? Well 217,5 hp @ 14.500 rpm. The superbike is featured with electronic systems like HSTC (Honda’s Traction Control), Start Mode for race starts and updated ride-by-wire throttle. In other words, you have a lot of tools to play with on a track day.
The bodywork has improved aerodynamics with MotoGP winglets more or less like the ones on Marc Marquez’s RC213V bike. The frame was redesigned and the swingarm is longer and inspired by the MotoGP prototype. Ohlins suspension and Brembo Stylema callipers with a track-mode ABS complete the package. The wet weight sits at 201 kg.
