This motorcycle gear has been designed for comfort and protection
BMW has developed the XRide suit focusing on achieving freedom of movement. Another aim was to offer riders a better comfort level when riding in all weather conditions.
The XRide suit
To increase the freedom of movement, the XRide suit features strap technology which was designed specifically for this motorcycle gear.
BMW used elastic fabric tape to provide support on the areas requiring protection. So, they’ve increased flexibility and the comfort level of the motorcycle suit.
Furthermore, the leather cut-outs on the arms, shoulders and knees have been specifically positioned to provide freedom of movement and protection.
The protection level has been increased thanks to the cowhide leather inserts positioned in areas where the suit is mostly damaged during a crash.
The jacket and trousers feature a close fit and the durability level has been increased thanks to the abrasion-resistant print fitted in stressed areas.
To increase the safety level, the BMW XRide suit is fitted with reflectors on the upper arms, the front of the jacket, the knees and the lower leg.
Other features include four front pockets which one is waterproof, one back pocket and two inside pockets.
The XRide suit is available for men in sizes from 24 to 32, 46 to 66 and 98 to 118. For women, the sizes are from 34 to 48.
The XRide Pro men's jacket
The jacket has leather elements made from an elastic and abrasion-resistant polyamide at the shoulders and arms. This is a part of the Ergonomic Concept.
The shoulders are fitted with close-fitting NP3 protectors and the elbows with NP2 protectors, and the back is shielded by NP-Pro long protectors.
The AirVent system is fitted on the front and has a double zipper. The 3D spacer fabric fitted at the back increases the level of air conditioning to provide comfort when riding in all weather conditions.
The XRide Pro men's jacket is fitted with shoulder protectors made of a plastic-steel combination. The jacket will be made in limited numbers of just 1,500 pieces and is offered in sizes from 46 to 60.
