Dakar 2020, Stage four: Barreda crashes 1

The 2020 Dakar Rally seems to keep the riders on their toes. Mistakes are often made by the riders and today, on stage four of the rally it was Barreda who crashed on the stage. Still, 183 km to go in the stage.

The Dakar Rally is tough. And every single stage is demanding. Yesterday we saw Ross Branch (KTM) crashing after 90 km into the stage three while Adrien Van Beveren (Yamaha) hard crash cost him a collar bone fracture and a bruised hip forcing the rider to retire from the 2020 Dakar Rally. Not even Laia Sanz could run away from bad luck as the GasGas rider fall losing 20 minutes to repair the damaged roadbook system in stage two of the 2020 Dakar.

On stage four Joan Barreda had a minor crash 270 km into the stage. When the rider crossed the 243 km mark he was five minutes slower than Toby Price (KTM).  Still, a long way to go to cross the finish line, 183 km to be more exact and we'll have to wait and see how much time Barreda's crash cost him in the stage four timesheet of the 2020 Dakar Rally.
