Ducati Goes All Red for 2019 MotoGP Season

Ducati goes all red for 2019 MotoGP season 1

A completely different colour theme for Dovizioso and Petrucci

Ducati just unveiled their new paint schemes which are bringing back good memories. The Desmosedici GP machines were a lot more beautiful in red than the newer white and grey theme that was used for the last couple of years. Thanks to Ducati’s MotoGP new sponsor – Phillip Morris – we get to see more colour in the championship this year.

The unveiling took place in the Phillip Morris headquarters in Switzerland. It may seem odd but the tobacco company is returning to MotoGP with a smoking reduction campaign in form of a message that both Ducati bikes wear. Mission Winnow is the name of the campaign and it looks actually good on the GP bikes.

The new paint scheme is not everything, Ducati technical guru Gigi Dall’Igna says there are some important changes made in the engine compartment. "Some important improvements we’re made to get more power and the aerodynamics are also improved. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until next month to see these two rockets at work at the pre-season testing in Sepang."
