Same power, different looks
The new Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE borrowed the livery of the Hypermotard 950 Concept presented at the Concours d’Elegance Villa d’Este event last year. It features the Graffiti colour scheme of the Concept version, Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO as standard while the rest of the bike is the same as the standard Hypermotard 950.
The RVE version sits between the Hypermotard 950 and the hi-spec Hypermotard SP model. The paint scheme was developed by the Ducati Style Center and showcases a graffiti design which makes the Italian supermoto look more aggressive. An ultra-thin waterslide decal was applied to create this awesome livery. The result matches the quality of an airbrushed bodywork.
The riding position follows the characteristics of the 950 SP version featuring a flat seat to help the rider have a better position and more room for body movement on the bike. Moreover, the seat has a special covering featuring a Ducati logo.
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE is fitted with the same engine as the standard version. It has a 937cc V-twin making 114 hp (84 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 71 lb-ft (96 Nm) of torque at 7,250 rpm. Furthermore, the service intervals are scheduled every 15,000 km (9,000 miles) or 12 months while the valve adjustment is scheduled every 30,000 km (18,000 miles). The dry weight of the bike sits at 178 kg.
As far as the electronic package goes, the bike features an upgrade. It now has Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO as standard. Other features include Riding Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS with Slide by Brake function (in setting 1), Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO.
The Graffiti paint scheme of this bike looks great and if you like to own one it will set you back €13,500 on the European market.
