The new Monster borrows the Scrambler engine – an 803 cc desmodue L-Twin – which manages to meet the Euro IV regulation despite the fact it’s a classic air-cooled unit.
With 75 horsepower, 68.9 Nm of torque, 193 kg, and an 805 mm seat height, it seems like a friendly bike that's suitable for those who want to buy their first middleweight.
According to the new European regulations, it will come with a standard ABS (provided by Bosch). Regarding the brakes, you get the Bosch 9.1MP ABS and some shiny radial calipers.
The price will be around $9,800 (€8,860). You get no traction control, no adjustable fork, no fancy electronics, but you do get a USB port to charge your iPhone.
Other features: tubular steel trellis frame, 16.5 liter steel fuel tank, full LCD Dash, and slippery clutch.
