Ducati revamps the livery of their XDiavel powercruiser with a sassy Matt Liquid Concrete Grey option. Sounds weird, maybe, but the bike looks impeccable.
The XDiavel receives a new color option for 2019 as Ducati revamps the looks of their powercruiser. Borgo Panigale’s machine will be available with an all-new livery that bears a rather complicated name: Matt Liquid Concrete Grey. No idea about how the future owners will refer to it, but we honestly doubt they’ll use, or remember for that matter, the long name.
Despite its almost funny name, the new color scheme looks amazing and fits the blackened attire of the XDiavel to perfection. The dark chassis and engine are matched by a sleek matte paint, and we’re surprised to see that Ducati has refrained from adding any carbon fiber trims to the 2019 build. Specialty add-ons may be part of Ducati’s options catalog in the future, alongside the traditional contrast-cut aluminium parts the Italian company has gotten us used to.
The seat was also changed, and now arrives in a dark brown color that stresses the sporty, individualist character of the bike. The XDiavel S comes with DRL, DLC-coated fork tubes, and Brembo M50 front brake calipers. Machined rims and belt covers are also on the menu. Ducati plans to maintain the Iceberg White and Thrilling Black liveries, too, with their bold, assertive red stripes on the tank.
Customers will be able to order the Matt Liquid Concrete Grey XDiavel in dealerships starting with November, but the price hasn’t been revealed yet. Apparently, no mechanical changes affected the new XDiavel, so we’re in for the same 152 HP @ 9500 revs and a peak torque of 127 Nm at 5000 rpm. Cornering ABS by Bosch, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Riding Modes plus Power Launch are also standard. A neat option caught our attention, the backlit handlebar switches, a thing that should definitely become an industry standard.
