MotoGP Riders Ready to Compete in a Virtual Race 1

Mugello is the track, the date is set for March 29, let the video games begin

Marquez, Quartararo and Viñales are set to play online a virtual race on the official MotoGP videogame. The invitation to race each other was sent to all the current MotoGP riders.

The 2020 MotoGP season is put on hold due to the Coronavirus outbreak. To keep themselves busy and still connected to racing, Dorna has organized a virtual race for the riders to play on the official MotoGP videogame. 

Marc Marquez, Fabio Quartararo, Maverick Viñales and Alex Rins are the confirmed riders so far and more are expected to join in.

The virtual race will have a total of six laps on the Mugello track and to set the grid, the riders will go through a five-minute qualifying time attack to determine the starting order. They’ll compete online and the event will be on March 29 and the race will be broadcast at 15:00 (GMT +2) on Sunday the 29th of March on motogp.com, esport.motogp.com and selected TV broadcasters, as well as across social media platforms.
