MV Agusta to Build Small Bikes in China

MV Agusta to build small bikes in China 1

MV Agusta signed a long-term deal with Loncin to manufacture 300-500 cc bikes in China

Fancy a Chinese Brutale? You might get a 300 cc one by the end of 2021. MV Agusta assures us the the bikes will retain the “Italian Agusta DNA”, despite being built in Guangdong and not in Varese.

In return, the Agusta engineers will help Loncin to enter the premium market segment by developing a new family of VOGE products, the Chinese premium high-end brand. Also, Loncin will help MV Agusta into expanding into the asian market their product line and portfolio. This is what they call “cooperation based on the principles of mutual benefit and success”, to quote the President of Loncin, Mr. Yong Gao .

MV Agusta is not the first European company to work alongside Loncin. BMW are building their C400 scooter in partnership with the Chinese company and the result is pretty good, with a better quality feel than the Indian-built G310 series.
