New Triumph Tiger Teaser Ahead EICMA Debut

New Triumph Tiger teaser ahead EICMA debut 1

With a few weeks ahead of the Milan show the guys at Triumph released a teaser video of the new Tiger that will debut on November 7th. We don’t get any information about the Tiger model teased in the video, but we think both models will be refreshed for 2018.

The Tiger 800 was last updated in 2015 meanwhile the bigger Tiger 1200 got an update in 2016. Both models have more than five years since they were first released in the line-up, so any updates are welcomed. Triumph claims the bikes are “Transformed" and will feature the latest “Technology”. Both models were already fitted with traction control and riding modes. Meanwhile, the XCA version featured all the fancy electronics you can get.

The first update that we can see is the TFT dash that looks like the one on the Street Triple Rs. Another cool feature will be the backlit buttons that Ducati Multistrada and the updated BMW R1200GS already have. The headlight is swapped with a LED unit, and the lines seem a bit changed.

With the fierce competition for the Big Adventure class, the Triumph has to spice up things every year to keep up with the benchmark models like the BMW R1200GS and KTM1290 Adventure. We will come up with more information from the Milan Show on November 7th.

Here's a look at our comparative test between the Triumph Tiger Explorer XCA and the BMW R1200GS.
