Pagani Amaru – the Ultimate Hyperbike Concept?

Pagani Amaru - The Ultimate Hyperbike Concept? 1

Indian designer Vishruth Kumar is the man behind this Pagani Amaru hyperbike sketch. The motorcycle is named after a mythical water dragon found in Andean mythology. Also, the bodywork was designed to look like a serpent head showcasing dual headlights resembling a pair of mean reptilian eyes.

Many of you probably never heard of Automobili Pagani but this car manufacturer is quite unique in the car industry thanks to its mindboggling hypercars. Their story is the baseline for creating this motorcycle design rendering.

To begin with, the brand’s founder, Horacio Pagani, used to work for Lamborghini’s composites department back in the ’80s. In other words, Horacio helped with the development of one car every teenager most likely had posters with – Lamborghini Countach. The two hypercars launched, Zonda and Huayra were inspired by fighter jets, featured a one of a kind aerodynamic package and used carbo-titanium alloys for the bodywork, especially the Huayra. Later on, the roadster version of the Huayra was built using Carbon Triax which is a combination of tri-axis fibreglass with carbon fiber. This feature was used by Pagani to decrease the weight of the hypercar. Moreover, Pagani is known to name its cars after gods of Andean mythology, Huayra being the name of the god of the wind.

But, let us get back to this motorcycle design rendering made by Vishruth Kumar. Pagani Amaru also uses an Andean mythology name which represents a mythical water dragon. Basically, the whole bodywork on the hyperbike follows the lines of a serpent especially with the dual headlights resembling a pair of mean reptilian eyes. The motorcycle looks like a serpent-head emerging out of water. It has a single seat while the design lines flow as if they come with an integrated form from the cowl to the fuel tank and finishing with the taillight section. The bodywork looks made of carbo-titanium alloy components just like the ones on the Huayra hypercar. Pagani Amaru features a futuristic design thanks to the hollow space in front that provides enough space for the handlebars. Moreover, to resemble the Pagani unique car design, besides the twin headlights, the rocket-exhaust system was designed to look just like the one fitted on the Zonda or Huayra hypercars but together with the taillight the hyperbike form a triangular shape unit instead of the four rectangular exhaust pipes we see fitted on the hypercars.

Beneath the fairings, Pagani Amaru is equipped with a liquid-cooled in-line 4-cylinder AMG engine. This follows the characteristics Pagani uses for its hypercars, namely a specially designed Mercedes-AMG V12 engine, packing two turbochargers which helps the engine deliver 720 hp and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque in the case of the latest version of the Pagani Huayra. There are no details of the Pagani Amaru power figures.

Suspension wise, for the front end, Pagani Amaru features a double-sided swingarm and two shocks, a technical feature similar to a hub center steering system we see fitted on Bimota motorcycles. The rear end has also a double-sided swingarm and a monoshock. Of course, each component is made of carbo-titanium alloy. Also, there’s an interesting detail regarding the braking system which looks to feature radial calipers made of magnesium.

Pagani Amaru hyperbike design rendering looks awesome and we would like to see this motorcycle come as a production model, but most likely, it’s just a motorcycle design sketch to show us how far Vishruth Kumar can push the boundaries of a motorcycle.
