The SV gets a hipster look
The famous Suzuki SV650 might be available in a cafe racer finish from next year. The Japanese manufacturer is trying to spice up its V-Twin middleweight by adding some new-retro touch to the SV. After the SV650 Rally concept presented last year, it's time for a closer to production bike – the SV650X.
Suzuki GB general manager, Paul de Lusignan says: “The SV650 Rally concept generated a lot of interest at last year’s show, with retro-styled machines proving very popular among riders. The SV650X is an evolution of that concept and shows how that would translate to a production machine. Currently, we cannot confirm a production schedule. We will first assess reactions to the SV650X before finalising plans.”
We hope the feedback will be a positive one as the retro custom looks is a trend on the current market. Although nothing confirmed, we think that the SV650X will be present on the dealer floor right after the second half of 2018.
The SV650 Rally Concept came as a retro-modern racer with round LED lights, a small racer fairing, clip-on handlebars and a fierce looking Yoshimura exhaust.
