Triumph widens the Bonneville range with a new member for 2018. The teaser released comes with the date October 3 and shows very little of the new Bonneville Speedmaster but leaves us with hints as "British Attitude,"a "Classic Custom Style" and "Class Leading Capability."
The Bonneville platform serves as a ground point for Triumph’s Modern Classic Range. The liquid cooled 1.2 -litre twin proved to be a torquey and responsive engine, and it will probably be fitted on the Speedmaster also.
The Speedmaster name was first introduced back in 2002. It initially had a 790cc engine, advanced controls, and low fitted exhausts. From what we can see in the video the new Speedmaster will share the same lines.
Triumph seeks full attention for the new model. The release date is one month before the Milan show (EICMA), so the Speedmaster won’t blend with other bikes launched this fall.
