When it comes to big displacement thumpers, Husqvarna regained its fans with the new 701. The specs sheet is filled with a lot of cool features like ride-by-wire throttle, slippery clutch and traction control. The power plant is the latest KTM 690 engine, and the suspension is a fully adjustable unit provided by WP. A combination that makes the 701 a performance machine.

The Omega rally kit for the Husqvarna 701 costs $6350. The kit is plug and play, and you can choose the desired colour. The package consists of two gas tanks, a front tower that features a book holder and two halogen lights, a seat, a clear screen and a bash plate. To keep everything as light as possible the whole assembly including the mounting brackets and hardware weights 15.6 kg.

The stock setup of the 701 Enduro weights 145 kg without fuel. The gas tank is mounted on the rear and it can handle 13 litres of fuel. With the Omega kit the range is increased. The Husky gets an additional 14 litres due to the additional front mounted gas tanks. So you have 27 litres of gas.

The front cowl combined with the rally headlights gives the Husky a fierce look. Unfortunately, if you want the engine protections and swing-arm guards, you have to pay extra. If you are thinking to build yourself a serious rally bike, this is a kit to go for. Check out the Omega website for more.
