New Bagger around the block – Harley watch your back
Yamaha USA brings up a new cruising machine for their 2018 line-up. Its called the Star Eluder and it shares the same platform with the Yamaha Star Venture. Actually the Star Eluder is a Star Venture without the tall windshield and the top case.
The engine is the 1854cc air-cooled V-twin and the features list is pretty consistent. The Star Eluder will feature an infotainment system, heated seats for driver and passenger, traction control and driving modes. The infotainment system consists of a 7-inch full colour touchscreen that can be paired with the cell-phone via Bluetooth.
The Star Eluder will also be available in a GT version that comes with GPS system and CB radio and its linked to real-time traffic and weather information. The base model will come with a $22,499 price tag and $23.999 for the GT version.
The Yamaha Star Eluder will have to stand against Harley-Davidson’s CVO’s and BMW K1600B Bagger on the US touring market.
