Yamaha YZF-R3 Shows Up in Monster Energy MotoGP Livery
Yamaha Monster Energy MotoGP colors available for the YZF-R3
Are you a fan of Valentino Rossi, Maverick Vinales or simply love Yamaha’s MotoGP bikes? Great, because the Monster Energy MotoGP trim is now available for the 2020 YZF-R3.
So far, only the US market is touted to receive this sexy color option, but we reckon it will also be available in other countries after its debut. Young riders are surely going to be thrilled to throw a leg over such a good-looking bike that now mimics even more its much brawnier and bigger YZR-M1 sibling.
The 2020 Yamaha YZF-R3 comes with several design details that have been inspired from the MotoGP prototypes, with the central air duct being the most prominent. Albeit flanked by dual headlights, the letter M-shaped intake bears the GP racing styling that’s easily and instantly recognizable by everyone.
The bodywork is also inspired by the racing machines, sporting sleek lines that replicate those of the MotoGP prototype and improved aerodynamics. The fairing is adorned with the decals seen on the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP factory bikes, with the sober black and blue livery complemented by the bold Monster emblem on the sides, tank and above the headlights.
From a technical standpoint, the Monster Energy MotoGP YZF-R3 is identical to the standard model. This gets you a 321 cc parallel twin engine with a 180-degree crank design and integrated counterbalancer, upside-down forks complemented by a central Monocross rear shock, ABS brakes (298mm front and 220mm rear) and 10-spoke cast aluminium rims. LED lighting, sporty ergonomics and comprehensive digital instrumentation complete the package.
The 2020 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition YZF-R3 will be available from August 2019 with a pricetag of $5,599, while the standard model will retail for $4,999.
