BMW F900XR vs. Yamaha Tracer GT

The F900XR is BMW’s latest addition to the upright sport-touring segment. It’s completely new, and comes with an inline-twin engine derived from the F850GS unit, while having all the fancy electronics that BMW has to offer. But is it good enough to beat the best-selling Yamaha Tracer?

Yamaha’s Tracer offers a thrilling ride thanks to its extraordinary triple engine, while being able to take you on a two-weeks trip, without having to worry about the day-by-day work commute. It’s the mid-weight sport-touring champion, and it’s proven to be a bestseller in its class. For this trip, we took the top-spec GT version.
