Suzuki GSX-R1000 2017 price announced 1

The Japanese manufacturer just unveiled the price list for the US market. With revamped models that are now able to compete, Suzuki wants to come back to its former glory. Suzuki GSX-R1000 adopts aggressive pricing for their 2017 superbike. Actually, it's the cheapest on the market.

The new Gixxer comes with a claimed power of 199 BHP and a new engine design – the technology that stands behind its performance is the VVT ( Variable Valve Timing ) –  making it the first racer with in-line four powerplant to use this concept.

The price tag of $14.599 MSRP for the GSX-R1000 makes it a direct opponent to Yamaha’s YZF R1S –  $14.999MSRP, but the longer features list makes Suzuki an option to consider. The next on the list is the Kawasaki ZX-10R, and it goes for $15.099 without ABS.

Even when it comes to the more fancy models, Suzuki is more affordable than the other manufacturers. The GSX-R1000R costs just $16.999 MSRP while the Yamaha YZF R1M goes over the $20.000marker, $22.499 MSRP to be exact. The next on the Japanese brands is the Kawasaki ZX-10RR at $18.899 MSRP, and the main competition is the new Honda CBR1000RR at $16.999, leaving the CBR1000RR SP out.

The 2017 season should highlight the qualities of the new litter Gixxer. The season finale will have the sentence regarding the performance and reliability of the new GSX-R, otherwise, on paper, we have the best price for a ready to race bike.
