Though it seems small, the engine is the same single cylinder used on the KTM 690. The power output number stands at 74 hp (55kw) at 7,000 rpm, and it feels extraordinary at lower revs. The 701 engine has the same character as an in-line four power-plant. The color scheme on the 701 Husqy looks pretty good. The fairings are made out of ABS plastic and share the elasticity of an Enduro bike. The headlight has a cool shape adding up to the 701's uniqueness. The dash looks a bit low-budget, and the oil or turn light indicators are coming out when you land a wheelie. Other than that, the 701 Supermoto seems very well put together.
