Check out “The Doctor’s” custom flat track behemoth
The famous MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi received a special gift from his VR|46 friends, a custom built flat tracker. The bike is called “Mya”, and it's a custom made flat track bike based on a Yamaha XJR 1300.
Every fan knows about Rossi addiction to flat trackers and his training facility called “The Ranch”. So what other gifts would fit him better? The VR|46 crew with the help of designer Rodolfo Frascoli come up with an appealing custom that seems ready to perform.
Mya embodies a lot of custom-made parts along with a few original parts borrowed from other bikes in the Yamaha line-up. The headlights come from a YZF-R1, the fairings are similar to the ones on the WR250 while the beefy XJR1300 make’s the bike look like a Motard.
The front suspension is a long travel unit while the rear is an adjustable gas cartridge provided by Öhlins. The exhaust system is a full line custom made by Akrapovic that wears the “46” logo on the lower muffler. The old XJ wheels are replaced with spoked wheels fitted with flat track tires.
