The naked bike is available on the market starting this spring
KTM North America has imported a small number of KTM 890 Duke R. Instead of arriving on the market in fall, the Austrian model is available for purchase starting from spring at a price tag of $11,700.
In comparison with its rivals Triumph Street Triple RS (starting price from $12,550) and Yamaha MT-09 ($8,999), the 890 Duke R price tag of $11,699 MSRP is not quite in the lower range. So what do you get for that amount?
Well, an 890cc parallel-twin naked making 119hp (89 kW) with 73 lbs-ft (99 Nm) of torque at 7,750 rpm. The WP suspension is fully adjustable and the brake system is provided by Brembo with Stylema callipers on the front end.
To control that power delivery, the KTM 890 Duke R features electronics such as a six-axis IMU, cornering ABS (with Supermoto mode), traction control, motor slip regulation (MSR), and an optional up/down quickshifter. The bike’s dry weight sits at 365 lbs (166 kg).
The naked bike is set for a live streaming presentation on the official KTM YouTube channel on March 31 at 17:00 pm CET.
