Suzuki just unveiled the new V-Strom 1050, which develops 105 hp while meeting the Euro 5 regulation. All the hype, the new name and the light power increase made me think about a larger engine for the new V-Strom. But I got it wrong – although revamped, the engine comes with the same capacity – 1037 cc.
So, what’s new? Of couse, new looks – the DR Big-inspired dash (it looks the same as on the Katana), new fairing shape, an adjustable screen, a new dash (TFT, not LCD).
But besides the look, there’s a ride-by-wire throttle which enables three riding modes. The electronics package also consists of traction control (four levels), combined ABS and hill assist on the XT version.
