Big problems for Branch on day three
Day 3 of the 2020 Dakar started with new challenges for last day’s winner Ross Branch. The third stage around Neom is set through canyons and mountains while the track is all covered with sand. Today’s stage is one of the most challenging ones in the 2020 Dakar.
Stage three of the 2020 Dakar is underway. The route takes the riders between canyons and mountains around Neom. The special has 427 km and they are all covered with sand. The special seems to be a day to forget for yesterday’s winner Ross Branch (KTM). The rider crashed after 90 km into the stage.
He injured his shoulder and he trails the stage leader Ricky Brabec (Honda) by 49 minutes after 200 km. The rider seems set to reach the finish line of stage three.
