MV Agusta reveals yet another Lewis Hamilton edition bike, and this time it’s the Brutale 800 RR that gets the LH44 treatment
MV Agusta and Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton step again in the spotlight with yet another machine that gets the LH44 treatment, and this time it’s the Brutale 800 RR. This is the third bike MV Agusta’s Castiglioni Research Center (CRC) releases in partnership with the British road racer, after the Dragster 800 RR LH44 and the F4 LH44.
Like in the case of the former two machines, the Brutale 800 RR only sports changes in the aesthetics department, with no mechanic or electronic upgrades installed on the bike. Basically, you’re looking at a pimped-up naked beast that has the (can we say “already?”) iconic red decal and billet aluminium accents, plus carbon fiber add-ons.
The brake and clutch levers are now made from red anodized aluminium, and so are the fluid caps and the clutch guard. The 17” aluminium alloy rims got the red livery, and the Marzocchi USD DLC (Diamond Like Carbon Coating) forks have also been anodized red.
MV Agusta adorned the bike with Lewis Hamilton lettering on both sides of the tail, and a serial number on the carbon fly screen above the iconic slanted headlight. Even the tires got red LH44 lettering and stripes, for what’s worth.
On the tech side, the new Lewis Hamilton Brutale 800 RR packs the standard 798cc in-line triple that produces 140 hp @ 12,300 revs and 87 Nm at 10,100 rpm, with an electronically-assisted quick-shift 6-speed transmission. Cue dual 320mm rotors and 4-pot radial calipers in the front, aided by a 220mm, 2-piston caliper in the rear, all Brembo.
Now, the not-that-fun part, the money talk. Each of the numbered, 144 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR LH44 bikes will set you back a hefty €24,144, while the strandard Brutale 800 RR is only €15,770. If a bevy of red accents or Hamilton float your boat, go get this bike, as we’re pretty sure MV Agusta won’t have too much trouble selling them really soon.
